Beginning in October 2023, the was to transform a recently occupied estate agency on a residential high street into a 'chic, fresh, and inspiring creative office' for a successful female entrepreneur launching a new fashion business. The goal was to craft a space that felt more like a home than a corporate office—a place that was a bit elusive, where collected art and furniture could seamlessly transition between home and office, creating an inviting and uplifting work environment.
Our response focused on reflection and transparency through an exploration of materiality. The office design, much like its founder is dynamic- the walls are always moving depending on the time of day allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen. White walls imply a blank canvas, a new beginning for fresh designs to form, whilst the use of mirror asks us to reflect, scrutinise and perfect the created. White marmorino walls and Ivory moiré wrapped fabric panels softly shimmer throughout the day evoking a sense of glamour and a place to create magic. The space is further enriched with fine art and furniture that blend the old with the new, the rustic with the sleek, and the cool with the warm. Completed in July 2024, Erin Deering’s office is a space designed for creativity, invention, and fun—a place that is ever-changing and always evolving.
